Anniversary Celebration at Al Nafoura

Al Nafoura Lebanese Restaurant
Anniversary Celebration

On July 12th, John and Pat celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary.  When Pat was working as a P.E. teacher in Dallas, she was set up on a date with John by his twin brother who was also her hair stylist.  John and Pat immediately fell in love and were married six months later.

To celebrate their day we had a night out with them without the kids.  That evening the kiddos stayed home with Ratna while we had dinner together at Al Nafoura in Jakarta.  Al Nafoura in a restaurant at the Le Meridian Hotel that serves Lebanese cuisine in a warm environment of stone archways, lanterns and colorful tableware.

The food was AMAZING! Upon sitting, we were presented with a complimentary appetizer: a plate with raw veggies. You can eat them as is or order dips to go with them.  We had baba ganoush, tabouleh, and humus with the most yummy puffy naan bread to use for dipping and for the main dish we all had chicken dishes cooked with lots of yummy yogurt and middle eastern spice blends.

After dinner we took some pictures in front of some interesting statues in the lobby of Le Meridian.
